TUSD Holds Groundbreaking
Ceremony for The Tustin Unified School District is holding a groundbreaking ceremony for the new Science Center at Foothill High School at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 17. The school is located at 19251 Dodge Ave. The public is invited.
The state-of-the-art Science Center will open in fall 2009 and features biology, chemistry and physics labs; earth science and physical science classrooms; and other rooms. The two-story facility was designed by NTD Architecture and will be built by Douglas E. Barnhart, Inc. Construction Management. It is located adjacent to the staff parking lot on campus near Newport Ave. and Foothill Blvd.
The total cost of the project
is $19 million, which is being funded through the Measure G campus
modernization program. Measure G was passed in 2002 by the voters to
repair and renovate the 20 oldest schools in the Tustin school district.
