The new Foothill High School pool was plastered and
filled with water last week (July 6-7). The new Aquatics
Center has a 50-meter pool, new deck, shade structures,
spectator seating, new boys’ and girls’ locker rooms,
lighting, heaters and mechanical pumps.
The $3.7 million project is part of the continuing
modernization of Foothill High under the Measures G and L
Program. Additionally, the Orange County Board of
Supervisors allocated $750,000 in 2008 towards the project.
The new center was designed by NTD Architecture and built by
Barnhart Balfour Beatty.
The Tustin Unified School District will hold
a ribbon-cutting ceremony
at 2 p.m. Monday, August 23.
