TUSD Holds Groundbreaking
Ceremony
The Tustin Unified School District is holding a
groundbreaking ceremony for Tustin High School’s new Sports
Pavilion at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 17.
The Tustin High Sports Pavilion
is approximately 29,000 square feet and will be located
adjacent to the school’s existing gymnasium, between the
swimming pool locker facility and stadium bleachers.
It
will include
a lobby, competition and practice basketball/volleyball
courts, dance room, team rooms, storage, concessions,
bleachers, ticket booths and restrooms.
The new gym was designed by NTD Architecture and will be
constructed by Barnhart Balfour Beatty. It is
scheduled to be completed by spring 2012.
The project will cost approximately $11 million and is being
funded through the Measure G and L campus modernization
programs.
